I already have a digital so it would be no problem for me to do it, I thought there might be a non-invasive way for the teacher to do it on his acoustic. The problem is I'm the student, not the teacher. The easiest thing to do would be to get one of the $50, 49 key MIDI controllers, and just use that when you want to pop some keys onto the screen during a call. They weigh nothing, with a long USB cord they could be tossed aside and picked back up during a lesson willy nilly. The sharp keys, and hands would obscure the view of the keys, as well.Ĩ8 limit switches (a kind of precise momentary switch) bolted onto aluminum rails, such that they touch the keys near the fall board would probably be the cheapest way to monitor an entire keyboard. The keyboard is quite wide, so a sensor anywhere near the piano would need a field of view of nearly 180 degrees, which makes things challenging. Probably not enough of a market to make it worth while to develop, but it's really nice on the online lessons that show which keys are being depressed.
